A personal look

Life is such an absolutely, mind-blowingly awesome occurrence in nature! The closer we look into how our rare blue planet got here, and how we came to be, and who we are, the more absolutely awesome it becomes. I'm pleased to be able to share my unique personal views of it, and glad you're interested enough to read. It's an account of following one's heart, as well as one's nose.

The decade living aboard a sailboat helped me and my partners experience first hand what's necessary for living, and it plunged us into the joy of living in, and loving, nature. It involved constantly making choices and living with their immediate consequences. It offered parallels for life in general: we really need to draw little from our environs; we need to know how the ship works and we need to manage and direct it well; and we need to get along with one another.

To build on these notions and others, I'll be adding essays, vignettes, images and blog entries to the pages on this site over the next months (summer and fall 2007), so please check back now and then. The main page is basically done and won't change much, except maybe to anchor a new link or two once in a while, and to update the date of last changes to the site. If you find anything useful, I'd enjoy hearing about it.

Thanks for visiting.
