Featured Clubs

KOSMO is one of the oldest rocketry clubs in the Plains states. The club was originally founded in 1980 by Kenneth McAlpine and Mark Johnson. We have members across Kansas and out of state. Our members include teachers, engineers, students, government employees, electronics types, and others. Two of our charter members have degrees in Aerospace Education. We fly model and high power rockets, mostly in and around Wichita and Great Bend, Kansas. Several of our members hold or have held national model rocket records. We hold monthly launch events approximately nine months out of each year, and will hold our 24th annual NAR Regional meet on June 5-6, 2004.
Kloudbusters Located in the heart of the South Central Kansas prairie, KLOUDBusters epitomizes the best of High Power Rocketry in the United States. With a consistent paid membership base of over 100 members, KLOUDBusters has maintained the same launch site since 1991. Flying near the town of Argonia, Kansas, with a one-hour drive time southwest of Wichita, KLOUDBusters hosts 3 major launches each year and monthly fun flies.
The Des Moines Area Rocket Society (DMARS) is a National Association of Rocketry section, #649 in the Des Moines, Iowa area. We have monthly meetings at Great Hobby Adventures the second Saturday of each month at 11:30am. GHA is located at 3635 E.P. True Parkway. We work with scouts, FFA, and others. Kids of all ages are welcome.
